 Remove the bolts (27) which attach the cable connector collar and the harness support bracket (26) to the bracket on the high pressure compressor (HPC) case.

 Move the harness support bracket (26) to remove the cable connector from the bracket.

 Remove the cable connector from the bracket.

 (a)  Install the protection caps.

 Remove the bolt (22) which attaches the cable conduit to the lower support on the intermediate case.

 Disconnect the servo fuel supply tube (20) from the servo fuel supply tube (41) for the valve.

 (a)  Install the protection caps.

 (16) Disconnect the servo fuel drain tube (23) from the servo fuel drain tube (40) for the valve.
 (a)  Install the protection caps.

 (17) Disconnect the servo fuel return tube (24) from the servo fuel return tube (42) for the valve.
 (a)  Install the protection caps.

 (18) Disconnect the oil inlet (9) and oil outlet (8) tubes for the air/oil heat exchanger with the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Remove the bolts (5) which attach the tube clamps (6) to the
 harness support bracket attached to the oil inlet tube (9).

 (b)  
Remove the bolts (10) which attach the tube collars to the
 air/oil heat exchanger (1).

 (c)  
Disconnect the oil outlet tube (8).
 1) Discard the packing (11).

 (d)  
Remove the three bolts (12) which attach the other end of the oil inlet tube (9) to the housing of the main oil filter.

 (e)  
Move the oil inlet tube (9) to disengage the aft end.

 (f)  
Move the oil inlet tube (9) rearward to disengage the forward end. 1) Discard the packing (11). 2) Install the protection caps.

(g)  ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 79-60; Remove the four outboard bolts (2) and washers (3), and loosen the four inboard bolts (4) as follows: 1) Remove the four outboard bolts (2) and washers (3) that
 attach the valve inlet collars (13) to the rear of the intermediate case. 2) Use the PWA 85853 torque adapter to loosen the four inboard bolts (4) and washers (3).
 NOTE: These bolts and washers attach the valve inlet
____ collars (13) to the rear of the intermediate case. Do not remove the inboard bolts and washers from the intermediate case.
 NOTE: The four bolt holes in the valve inlet collars are
____ slotted. This is to make it easier to remove the heat exchanger and the valve.
 (h)  ENGINES POST-PW SB 79-60; Remove the four outboard bolt and washer assemblies (2). Also loosen the four inboard bolt and washer assemblies (4) from the valve inlet collars (13) as follows: 1) Remove the four outboard bolt and washer assemblies (2)
 that attach the valve inlet collars to the rear of the intermediate case. 2) Use the PWA 85853 torque adapter to loosen the four inboard bolt and washer assemblies (4).
 NOTE: These bolt and washer assemblies attach the valve
____ inlet collars to the rear of the intermediate case. Do not remove the inboard bolt and washer assemblies from the intermediate case.
 NOTE: The washers are part of the washer and bolt
____
 assembly.

 Remove the two bolts (2) and washers (28) which attach the hinge bracket (19) on the forward side of the valve (18) to the intermediate case.
