When the system starts to operate, the SYS ON indicator light 12WR comes on.
The two time-delay relays 8WR and 9WR de-energize the power relay 10WR after 30 s. If both time delay relays do not operate 30 s. after the start of the system operation, the FAULT indicator light (located on the TMR RESET pushbutton switch 13WR) comes on. When the TMR RESET pushbutton switch is pushed, the SYS ON indicator light will go off. The ON indicator light (located on the TMR RESET pushbutton switch) will come on while the TMR RESET pushbutton switch is pushed.

A. Altitude Pressure Switch 16WR The altitude pressure switch (16WR) closes when the cabin pressure drops to a pressure equivalent to 4260 + 0/- 150 m (14000 + 0/- 500 ft.). This activates the emergency oxygen supply system.

A. Altitude Pressure Switch The altitude pressure switch 16WR has two settings. The first closes when the cabin pressure drops to a pressure equivalent to 4260 + 0/- 150m (14000 + 0/- 500 ft.), the second at a pressure equivalent to 4870 + 0/-150m (16000 + 0/-500 ft.). This activates the emergency oxygen supply system.

B. Oxygen Power Relay 10WR The oxygen power relay (10WR) is installed in the avionics compartment. It controls the 115 V AC supply to the door latches of the emergency oxygen containers.
C. MASK MAN ON pushbutton switch 14WR If the altitude pressure switch (16WR) fails, the MASK MAN ON pushbutton switch (14WR) will activate the emergency oxygen system. This pushbutton switch will override the altitude pressure switch (16WR). A safety guard is installed over the pushbutton switch.
D. TMR RESET pushbutton switch 13WR TMR RESET pushbutton switch (13WR) will reset the control circuit after operation. It is located on the panel 50VU.

E. Passenger Information Relay 19WR The passenger information relay (19WR) will start the recorded announcement on the passenger address system. It supplies the hold-in circuit for the SYS ON indicator light (12WR).

F. Time Delay Relays 8WR and 9WR The 30 second time delay relays (8WR and 9WR) are the slow-to-make type. They switch off the 28 V DC supply to the oxygen power relay (10WR). The contacts are connected in series to prevent damage to the solenoids, if one relay fails.
G. Indicator Lights The SYS ON indicator light (12WR) comes on when the emergency oxygen system is operated. It is located on the panel 21VU. The FAULT indicator light on the TMR RESET pushbutton switch (13WR) comes on if the 30 second relays (8WR and 9WR) fail.

H. AHS ON pushbutton switch 899WR The AHS ON pushbutton switch (899WR) deactivates the electrical circuit of the normal setting for a system activation at a pressure equivalent to 4260 + 0/-150 m (14000 + 0/-500 ft.) and activates the electrical circuit of an automatic activation at 4870 + 0/- 150 m (16000 + 0/- 500 ft.). It is located on the cockpit overhead panel 21VU. A safety guard is installed over the AHS ON pushbutton switch (899WR).
