 C. Test
 (1) Open the circuit breaker 5CC1.

 (2) After a minimum of 10 seconds, close the circuit breaker 5CC1.

 (3) After 2 minutes, do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 1.

 4. Fault Isolation

 A. If the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/YD ACTR1 3CC1: R R - open the circuit breakers 5CC1 and 14CC1, R - remove the FAC-1 (1CC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and disconnect R the plug at the YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator 1, R - do a check of the wiring between respectively:
R . the pins AF/4 and AF/6 of the FAC1 and the pins A/E and A/D of the
R solenoid valve of the YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator 1,

R . the pins AC/4 and AC/6 of the FAC1 and the pins B/A and B/B of the
R solenoid valve 2 of the YAW DAMPER Servo-Actuator 1.

R (1) If the wiring is not correct:
R - repair it.

R (2) If the wiring is correct:
R - connect the above mentioned plug,
R - do a check of the impedance between respectively:

R . the pin AC/4 and the pin AC/6,

R . then the pin AF/4 and the pin AF/6 of the FAC-1 rack connector.

R NOTE : The impedance must be more than 40 Ohms.

R (a) If the impedance is correct:
R - replace the FAC-1 (1CC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).

R (b) If the impedance is not correct:
R - replace the faulty solenoid valve 1 and/or 2 of the SERVO
R ACTR-YAW DAMPER, (3CC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-003) and
R (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-400-003),
R - install the above removed FAC-1 (1CC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-
400-002), R - close the circuit breakers 5CC1 and 14CC1. R
R B. If the test does not give the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/YD ACTR1
R 3CC1:
R - do the operational test of the yaw damper function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-R 63-00-710-001).
R

R (1) If the yaw damper function is not correct:
R - replace the FAC-1 (1CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and
R (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).

R (2) If the fault continues:
R - do a check and repair the wiring of the solenoid valve 1 and 2 of
R the SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER, 1 (3CC1), (Ref. ASM 22-68/04),
R - if the wiring is correct, replace the solenoid valve 1 and/or 2 of
R the SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER, (3CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-003)
R and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-400-003).

R (3) If the fault continues:
R - do a check and repair the wiring of the pressure switch of the
R SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER, 1 (3CC1) (Ref. ASM 22-68/04),
R - if the wiring is correct, replace the pressure switch of the SERVO
R ACTR-YAW DAMPER, (3CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-004) and (Ref.

 AMM TASK 27-26-51-400-004).

R  (4) If the fault continues:
 - do a check and repair the wiring of the YAW V1 COM and YAW V2 COM
 discretes (from the yaw damper servo-actuator,1 (3CC1) to the FAC 1
 (1CC1)) (Ref. ASM 22-68/04). 
R  - if the wiring is correct,do a check and repair the wiring of the 
R  servovalve SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER, 1 (3CC1) (Ref. ASM 22-68/04), 
R  - if the wiring is correct, replace the servovalve of the SERVO 
R  ACTR-YAW DAMPER, 2 (3CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-002) and 
R  (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-400-002), 
R 
R  - if the fault persists, replace the SERVO ACTR-YAW DAMPER, 1 
R  (3CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-26-
51-400-001). 
R  C. Do the test given in Para. 3.C.

 Loss of the Yaw Damper Function on the FAC 2
