A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the AFS (turn the rudder trim-control switch (9CC) in one direction) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 2.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- do the procedure: (Ref. TASK 22-62-00-810-802).
B. If the test does not give the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- replace the CTL SW-RUDDER TRIM (9CC).
C. Do the operational test of the rudder trim function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-62-00-710-001).

3. Fault Confirmation
__________________
A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the AFS (turn the rudder trim-control switch (9CC) clockwise, then counterclockwise) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 2.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the two tests give the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ground signal at the rudder trim-control switch (9CC) pin 8 (Ref. ASM 22-68/03).
B. If the two tests do not give the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/RT CTRL SW 9CC:
- replace the CTL SW-RUDDER TRIM (9CC).
C. Do the operational test of the rudder trim function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-62-00-710-001).
Loss of the Reception of the RT ENGD Feedback Discrete by the FAC 1
1. Possible Causes

- FAC-1 (1CC1)
- wiring of the RUD TR ENGD COM and RUD TR ENGD MON discretes (from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the first terminal block)
- wiring of the RUD TR OWN ENGD COM and RUD TR OWN ENGD MON discretes (from the FAC 1 (1CC1) to the first terminal block)

(1) Do the operational test of the AFS (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001) and read the result for the FAC 1.
(2) Do the operational test of the automatic change-over function (Ref. AMM TASK 22-60-00-710-002).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the operational test of the AFS gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC1/RT ENGD FDBK:
(1) If the operational test of the automatic change-over function gives the maintenance message AFS: FAC2/RT ENGD CHG-OV:
- replace the FAC-1 (1CC1), (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-66-34-400-002).
