Move the coupling for the bleed air duct inboard until it
 stops.

 (k)  
Install the clamp that attaches the coupling for the bleed air duct to the bleed air flange. 1) Tighten the clamp nut to 45-55 pound-inches (5.1-6.2 N.m).

 (6)  Remove the hoist equipment:
 (a)  
Loosen the hoist cables or chains.

 (b)  
Remove the pins to disconnect the hoist cables or chains from the tubes.

 (c)  
Remove the pins that attach the cradle base to the APU.

 (d)  
Remove the cradle.

 (e)  
Remove the pins that attach the hoists to the brackets in the APU compartment.

 (f)  
Remove the hoists.

 (7)  AIRPLANES WITH THE DUCT ALIGNMENT ASSEMBLY (POST-SB 49-1101); Make sure there is a minimum clearance of 0.75 inch (1.9 mm) between the exhaust duct muffler and the exhaust port of the APU turbine section:
 (a)  If it is necessary, adjust the bolts that attach the duct alignment assembly to the brackets until the clearance is correct (AMM 49-81-31/401).

 (8)  Connect the APU (Fig. 401):
 (a)  
Remove the caps, covers and plugs from all the disconnected lines and ports.

 (b)  
Connect the fuel hose to the elbow on the low pressure fuel filter (Fig. 401, Detail B).

 (c)  
Connect the plug for the fire detection sensor to the
 receptacle on the upper shroud.
 1) Install a lockwire on the plug.

 (d)  
Connect the air line for the bleed load control to the fitting in the upper shroud.

 (e)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE ETC; Connect the plug for the electronic temperature control to the upper shroud receptacle. 1) Install a lockwire on the plug.

 (f)  
Connect the plug for the EGT indication system to the
 receptacle in the upper shroud.
 1) Install a lockwire on the plug.

 (g)  
Connect the plug for the APU generator control to the
 receptacle in the upper shroud.
 1) Install a lockwire on the plug.

 (h)  
Connect the APU harness, the APU starter motor, and the APU generator plugs to the receptacles in the upper shroud. 1) Install lockwires on the connectors.

 (i)  
Connect the bonding jumper on the upper shroud to the APU (Fig. 401, Detail C).

 (9)  Set the circuit breakers and the switch:
 (a)  Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: 1) P6-2 Load Control Center a) FIRE PROTECTION DETECTION, APU 2) P6-4 Load Control Center a) CONTROL GENERATOR, APU
