 (4)  Remove the remote port adapter from the skin and do the integral ambient test.
 I.  Integral Ambient Test
 NOTE: If the valve does not open at the pressure specified for the
____ Integral Ambient Test, remove the valve (AMM 21-32-01/401) and calibrate (CMM 21-32-01).

 (1)  Examine the inner edge of the integral ambient sensing port tube for burrs.
 (a)  Deburr if it is necessary to prevent damage to the test fitting.

Install the integral sense port adapter into the integral ambient sensing port and lock it in its position.

Connect the integral sense port adapter hose assembly to the discharge port adapter (Figure 501, detail B).

Do the test.

 (a)  
Slowly decrease the system pressure at a rate of not more than

 0.75 in. Hg/min until the valve opens.

 (b)  
Make sure the valve opens at a differential pressure of 9.65 +0.15/-0.15 psi (66.5 |1 kPa).

 NOTE: After the valve opens, the differential pressure
____ decreases to less than 9.65 psi (66.5 kPa) and then starts to increase to open the valve again.
 (c)  
If the valve opens at more than 9.65 psi (66.5 kPa), make sure there are no loose fittings in the test equipment tubing.

 (d)  
With the valve in the open position, do these steps:

 1)  Make sure the applicable status message UPR PRESS RELIEF or LWR PRESS RELIEF shows on the lower EICAS screen after 5 seconds.

 (e)  
Remove the applied vacuum and make sure that the UPR PRESS RELIEF or LWR PRESS RELIEF message goes off when the valve closes.

 (f)  
Push the PACK RST switch.

 (5)  Remove all the test equipment and close the valve door.

 G. Do the Pressure Relief Valve Test
 NOTE:____This test can only be done on one valve at a time. Do the test on the upper relief valve, then do the test again on the lower relief valve.
