a) Lubricate the threads of the adapter (26) with an antigalling compound. b) Connect the valve drain tube (32) to the adapter (26) with the tube coupling nut (25).
c) Put the plate (55) between the flats on the drain tube (32) and the hole on the tube bracket on the heat exchanger (23). Put the end of the valve drain tube (32) through the hole on the tube bracket on the heat exchanger (23).
d) Lubricate the threads on the end of the valve drain tube (32) with engine oil. e) Install a washer (54) and a jamnut (30) on the valve drain tube (32). f) Tighten the jamnut (30) to a torque of 70-80 pound-inches (7.9-9.0 N.m.). g) Tighten the tube coupling nut (25) to a torque of 90-100 pound-inches (10.1-11.2 N.m.). h) Install a lockwire on the tube coupling nut (25) and the jamnut (30).
16) ENGINES WITH SB PW4ENG 79-49; Install the valve servo fuel return and supply tubes (33, 34) as follows: a) Lubricate the threads of the adapters (36) with an antigalling compound. b) Connect the valve servo fuel return and supply tubes (33, 34) to the adapters (36) with the tube coupling nuts (37, 38). c) Put the ends of the valve servo fuel supply and return lines (33, 34) through the holes on the plate and tube bracket on the heat exchanger (23). d) Lubricate the threads on the ends of the valve servo fuel return and supply tubes (33, 34) with engine oil. e) Install the washers and jamnuts (31) to the ends of the valve servo fuel return and supply tubes (33, 34). f) Tighten the jamnuts (31) to a torque of 70-80 pound-inches (7.9-9.0 N.m.). g) Tighten the tube coupling nuts (37, 38) to a torque of 200-225 pound-inches (22.5-25.4 N.m.). h) Install lockwire on the tube coupling nuts (37, 38) and jamnuts (31).
17) ENGINES WITHOUT SB PW4ENG 24-4; Install the two bolts (45 and 50), the screw (49), the three nuts (48) and the five clamps (47 and 51).

18) ENGINES WITH SB PW4ENG 24-4; Install the bolt (45), the screw (49), the two nuts (48), and the three clamps (47).
NOTE:____ The clamps hold these tubes: Valve servo fuel supply tube (33) Valve servo fuel return tube (34)
19) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (29) with engine oil. 20) Install the bolt (29) that holds the cable shield (28) to the valve drain tube (32). a) Tighten the bolt to a torque of 36-40 pound-inches (4.0-4.5 N.m).
(2) S 434-024ENGINES WITHOUT SB PW4ENG 79-60; Make sure the four inboard bolts (4) and washers (3) are installed loosely to the rear of the intermediate case as follows: (a) Make sure the threads on the four bolts are lubricated with engine oil. (b) Loosely install the washers in the four inboard bolt holes. (c) Make sure the washers are sealed to the bolt heads with beeswax.
(3) S 434-050ENGINES WITH SB PW4ENG 79-60; Make sure the four inboard bolt and washer assemblies are loosely installed in the rear of the intermediate case.
(4) S 434-025Lubricate the two packings (5) with petroleum white and install them to the front of the inlet collar. Set the height of the bolts with the PWA 87505 Positioner.
(5) S 434-051Remove the dustcovers (covers) from the tubes and openings in the heat exchanger.
(6) S 434-052Lubricate a new packing (22) with engine oil and install it on the oil-out tube (21).
(7) S 434-053Lubricate a new packing (8) with engine oil and install it in the groove on the oil-in adapter (10).
