Apply engine-driven generator power from IDG 1 to the left synchronous bus (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Close these circuit breakers:
1) On the P514 panel: a) C8013 Lightning Prot Phase A b) C8014 Lightning Prot Phase B c) C8015 Lightning Prot Phase C
(d)
Make sure bus tie breaker BTB 1 remains closed.
(e)
Make sure the lightning protector circuit breakers that are listed above remain closed.
(f)
Remove the electrical power if no longer required.

To test the installation of the lightning protector associated with the 115 VAC Bus 2, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Open these circuit breakers:
1) On the P614 panel: a) C8019 Lightning Prot Phase A b) C8020 Lightning Prot Phase B c) C8021 Lightning Prot Phase C
(b)
Apply engine-driven generator power from IDG 2 to the left synchronous bus (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Close these circuit breakers
1) On the P614 panel: a) C8019 Lightning Prot Phase A b) C8020 Lightning Prot Phase B c) C8021 Lightning Prot Phase C
(d)
Make sure bus tie breaker BTB 2 remains closed.
(e)
Make sure the lightning protector circuit breakers that are listed above remain closed.
(f)
Remove the electrical power if no longer required.

A. This procedure has two tasks to do a test of the lightning protectors.
(1)
One task tests individual lightning protector.
(2)
One task test the lightning protectors in the generator control panels.
