(a)  
A yellow colored altitude caution bar is displayed along the left side of the altitude tape. The lower end of the altitude caution bar is located at the landing altitude and the bar extends upwards.

 (b)  
A white colored altitude alert bar is displayed above the altitude caution bar. The altitude alert bar extends upwards from the top of the altitude caution bar.

 (c)  
Symbol placement is relative to displayed ADC barometric altitude. Landing altitude data is based on FMCS/CPCS source selection. When source selected to CPCS data with manual outflow valve control, the landing altitude reference bars will be removed.

 (d)  
The landing altitude reference bars are removed for invalid ADC barometerc altitude, invalid landing altitude or if landing altitude is less than -2,000 ft.

Landing Altitude Reference Bug

 (a)  
A yellow colored bug is placed on the altitude tape at the landing altitude. The upper edge of the bug reflects the current value of landing altitude.

 (b)  
Landing altitude data is based on FMCS/CPCS source selection. When source selected to CPCS data with manual outflow valve operation, the bug is removed and the amber colored NO TDZ annunciation (Fig. 10C) is displayed.

 (c)  
The reference bug is removed for invalid ADC barometric altitude. If landing altitude is invalid or less than -2,000 ft, the bug is removed and the NO TDZ annunciation (Fig. 10C) is displayed.

QFE/QNH Annunciation

 (a)  
A green colored QFE/QNH barometric altitude reference annunciation is displayed next to the barometric reference readout. The QFE annunciation is displayed continuously during QFE operation. The QNH annunciation is displayed for ten seconds upon the transition from QFE to QNH, or upon power up with QNH operation.

 (b)  
A highlight box will be displayed for ten seconds for a QFE/QNH transition, power up, or recovery from invalid data conditions.

 (c)  
The annunciation (and highlight box) will be amber in color for a barometric set transfer warning.

 (d)  
When source selected to CPCS landing altitude, three green colored dashed lines will be displayed in place of the QFE/QNH annunciation.

 (8)  Barometric Reference
 (a)  
The actual barometric reference is displayed by a readout which is located below the altitude tape. The reference is indicated as either STD (standard) or by a numeric readout.

 (b)  
The numeric reference is presented in units of inches or hecto Pascals, as selected from the EFIS Control Panel (IN or HPA).

 (c)  
A preselect barometric reference is displayed below the actual reference readout. The preselect value is adjusted by rotating the BARO control on the EFIS Control Panel.

 (d)  
Pressing the STD switch on the EFIS Control Panel toggles the actual barometric reference between the standard and preselected values.

 6. EFIS Navigation Display (ND) Formats

 A. General
 (1)  
The ND displays consist of map (MAP), approach (APP), VOR, and plan (PLN) formats. All of the formats except plan are available in either an expanded rose format covering 80 compass degrees, or a full rose format covering 360 degrees.

 (2)  
The map mode is a presentation of a track-up oriented map display of aeronautical chart and flight plan information. This display presents relative airplane position and direction against a static airplane reference symbol. The map data rotates smoothly and translates relative to airplane movements.

 (3)  
The center map mode displays the current airplane position near the center of the screen.

 (4)  
Additional modes of VOR and approach (ILS) are presentations of navigation information in full or expanded formats. Selection of ILS will cause the lateral and vertical deviation display information to be based on ILS localizer and glideslope deviation data. Selection of VOR will cause the lateral deviation information to be based on a computed course deviation, using VOR data.

 (5)  
The plan mode provides for flight planning purposes. The display is a north-up presentation of flight plan data. Flight plan data is entered through the Flight Management Computer System (FMCS).
