Access

Install the Door Warning Sensor (Fig. 201)

 (1)  
Install the sensor:

 (a)  
Twist the sensor wires.

 (b)  
Attach the line that you kept in the conduit (during the removal), to the end of the sensor wires.

 (c)  
Carefully pull the wires through the conduit.

 (d)  
Install the sensor with the mounting screws.

 NOTE: A correctly installed sensor will give you the clearance
____ shown on Fig. 201. The clearance adjustment is usually not necessary. A check of the clearance must be done if the sensor mounting support is moved, if the door is replaced, or the doorstop is adjusted.
 1)  Make sure you install the head of the screw on the sensor side.

 2) Do the steps for the sensor adjustment if it is necessary.

Connect the sensor wires:

 (a)  
Cut the sensor wires to the correct length and install the terminal lugs.

 (b)  
Connect the sensor wires to the terminal strip.
 1) Make sure the terminals are connected correctly.

 NOTE: Use the colors of the wires.

 CAUTION: IF YOU DO NOT SEAL THE ELECTRICAL TERMINALS CORRECTLY, YOU
_______ CAN HAVE SHORTED OR BURNED OUT SWITCHES CAUSED BY THE UNWANTED MATERIALS THAT GO INTO THE JUNCTION BOXES.
 (c)  Seal the electrical terminals: 1) Clean the bare surface of the terminals with the solvent. 2) Apply a thin layer of the primer on the bare surfaces of
 the terminals. a) Let the primer dry. 3) Apply the sealant on the terminals with a short-bristle brush.

 (3)  Install the cover on the junction box (J22 LH, J25 RH).
