 (5)  
Remove the squat sensor:

 (a)  
Loosen the coupling nut at the sensor end of the conduit assembly.

 (b)  
Remove the two bolts and the nuts that attach the sensor to the mounting bracket.

 (c)  
Carefully pull the sensor leads from the conduit and remove the line from sensor wires.

 NOTE: Do not pull the line fully out of the conduit.

 (d)  Remove the sensor from the airplane.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS AND THE STEERING LOCKOUT PIN ARE
_______ INSTALLED ON THE NOSE GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR OR TURN OF THE NOSE WHEEL CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Make sure the ground locks and steering lockout pin are installed on the nose landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 E. Install the Squat Sensor
 S 432-042
 (1)  
Do these steps to install the squat sensor:

 (a)  
Apply the lubricant to the sensor leads before you pull the leads through the conduit.

 (b)  
Attach the line that you kept in the conduit (during the removal) to the wires of the sensor.

 (c)  
Carefully pull the wires through the conduit into the P37 J-Box until the sensor is against the conduit end.

 CAUTION:_______TIGHTEN THE SENSOR COUPLING NUT WITH YOUR HAND ONLY. IF YOU TIGHTEN THE SENSOR COUPLING NUT MORE TIGHTLY, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR.

 (d)  
Apply the primer to the threads and install the coupling nut on the mounting bolts while the primer is wet.

 (e)  
Attach a lockwire to the sensor coupling nut.

 (f)  
Attach the sensor to the mounting bracket with the two bolts and nuts.

 NOTE: Make sure you use the correct bolts and install the
____
 bolts with the heads down.

 (g)  
Pull the sensor wires out through the P37 control panel.

 (h)  
Cut the wires to the correct length, if it is necessary.

 (i)  
Install the new terminal lugs on the sensor wires and connect the lugs to the terminal strip.

 CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU SEAL THE ELECTRICAL TERMINALS. IF YOU DO NOT SEAL THE TERMINALS, CONTAMINATION CAN GO INTO THE JUNCTION BOXES AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SENSORS.
 (2)  
Seal the electrical terminals:

 (a)
Clean the surface of the terminals with the solvent.
