Make sure you can push the latch bolt up 0.01 to 0.03 inch.

 1)  Change the shim below the face of the latch if it is necessary to get this dimension.

On doors with a hold-open rod, install the hold-open rod.

 (a)  
Connect the hold-open rod to the bracket on the door. 1) Use your fingers to tighten the nut on the bolt. 2) Put a cotter pin through the bolt to hold the nut.

 (b)  
If the bracket that attaches the hold-open rod to the structure has a slot, adjust the hold-open rod. 1) Open the adjacent door to get access to the top of the

 hold-open rod.
 2)  Do a check of the clearance between the joint in the hold-open rod and the air-conditioning duct. a) Close the door. b) Make sure the clearance is approximately 1.0 inch. c) Move the bracket that attaches the hold-open rod to the
 structure to get this dimension. d) See that there is 0.02 inch between the hold-open rod and the latch (Section B-B). e) Tighten the bolts in the bracket. 3) Close the adjacent door.

Install the bonding jumpers (Section C-C).

 Install the covers between the hinges.

 Make sure the antenna will receive correctly.

 (a)  
Measure the resistance between the flame-sprayed surface of the door and the adjacent structure (Ref 20-22-01/601). 1) See that the resistance is less than 0.01 ohms.

 (b)  
Measure the resistance between the quick-release fasteners and the flame-sprayed surface of the door (Ref 20-22-01/601). 1) Make sure the resistance is less than 0.5 ohms.

Clean the quick-release fasteners if it is necessary to get the correct resistance (Ref 51-24-03/701).

Do a check of the resistance again if you cleaned the quick release fasteners.
