Install the Main Landing Gear

 (1)  
Attach the drag strut to the shock strut.

Remove the pin (35) to disconnect the drag strut from the trunnion link (View E-E).

Disconnect the hydraulic lines and the electrical lines from the trunnion link.

Hold the trunnion link. Remove the lubrication insert (31) and the pin (29) to disconnect the trunnion link from the shock strut (View D-D).

Apply grease (BMS 3-33) to the packing (26).

 GUN GUN GUN GUN GUN GUN GUN GUN (6)  S 644-112Fill all the empty spaces made by the bearing assembly with grease.NOTE: It is important to fill the bearing with grease by hand____so that moisture will not collect and to prevent internalcorrosion.
 (7)  S 434-027Install the plug (25) and the packing (26) into the end of the trunnion link.
 (8)  S 494-092Install the trunnion link support tool around the trunnion link. Use the instructions supplied with the tool.

 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THE ORIENTATION OF THE FORWARD TRUNNION BEARING HAS THE THINNER FACE OF THE BALL IN THE AFT DIRECTION AND THE STENCILED ARROW UP. IMPROPER INSTALLATION WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (9)  Insert the trunnion link into the forward trunnion bearing until the fuse pin holes are aligned (Detail A).
 S 644-037 (10) Apply grease (BMS 3-33) to the fuse pin (24) and the cap (23).
 S 434-038 (11) Install the fuse pin and the cap.
 S 414-038 (12) Apply adhesive to the contact surfaces of the lockplate (22). Install the lockplate.
 S 644-039 (13) Apply MIL-G-21164 to the threads of the plug (21).
 S 434-040 (14) Install the plug. engaged. Tighten the plug by hand and make sure it is
 S 644-040 (15) Apply grease (BMS 3-33) to the antirotation bolt (20) and the washer (27).
 S 434-041 (16) Install the bolt and the washer.

 GUN GUN GUN GUN GUN  S 644-113(17) With the trunnion link in the position for landing gear retracted,apply grease (BMS 3-33) through the top grease fitting to completelyfill the bearing.
 S 434-088 (18) Move the trunnion link until it is in the approximate gear extended position. Lift the trunnion link and attach it to the structure.
 S 094-042 (19) Hold the shock strut. Remove the truck positioner actuator (AMM 32-32-15/401), and replace it with the shock strut positioner link. Use the instructions supplied with the tool.
