We have, most notably, seen the
successful adoption of the second Single
European Sky (SES II) package, as well as
the endorsement of the European ATM
Master Plan – a signifi cant step forward in
the SESAR project.
The new SES II package is vital to improving
the functioning of European air traffi c
control and will allow us to build on the positive
work already completed under the current
regulations. One shouldn’t forget that
by the end of 2009, we had already adopted
more than 10 implementing rules mandated
to EUROCONTROL on subjects such as airspace
classifi cation, charging schemes of air
navigation services, interoperability of ATM
systems and air traffi c fl ow management.
