Alternatively, the authorized user may activate the “Quick publish” functionality by the
toolbar button of the Manual manager window.
The functionality shows the corresponding Wizard dialog box “Quick Publish Manual”.
At the first step, the user may choose the product file representing the manual to publish.

The user can type the product file complete path, or use the file chooser to do the same
task by pressing the “Browse” button.

When the “Product file” field is filled in, the “Next” button becomes enabled, and the user
can move to the next step.
With the “Cancel” button, the user leaves the Quick Publish window.

Second step, the system evaluates the validity of the XML file corresponding to the manual
to be published.
If it is not valid, an explanatory error message shows up in the upper panel of the wizard.
The central panel of the wizard, scrollable but not editable specifies the characteristics of
the manual to be loaded.
The user must confirm that analysis by notching the “confirm analysis” check box. So he
can move to the following step, with the “Next>” button now enabled.

Third step, the user may select in the combo box the publishing format between:
• FOCT, LPC Doc Browser format
• PDF, Portable Document format
• RTF, Rich Text File format
• ATA, ATA format (not implemented in the current version).
The user must also choose the location of the output directory. He can type the complete
path of the directory, or use the file chooser to do the same task by pressing the “Browse”
button.

When the publish format and the target location are chosen the “Publish” button becomes
accessible and the user can launch the publishing process.
On the last screen, two progress bars display the advance of the publishing process. The
