The user must confirm his choice with the dedicated dialog box “Confirm cancel checkout”.
The document version is not incremented.
4.2.3.1.4 Edit checked-out Document
When a document is checked-out by the current user, it can be customized. To do so, one must
select the “edit checked-out document” functionality.
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
The Manual Explorer is displayed on an opened manual.
The Working tab is selected.
A Document Unit is selected in the Explorer tree.
The user is the one that has previously checked-out the document or the user has a
Manual responsible profile.
Description:
The user must select in the Explorer tree one of his checked-out Document Unit and
activate the “Edit checked-out document” functionality by the menu item “Edit document”.

Alternatively, the authorized user may activate the “Edit document” functionality by the
toolbar button .
This functionality brings up a “Document Unit Editor” window.
4.2.3.1.5 Check-out and Edit Document
The functionality “Check-out and Edit Document” enables a user to check-out and to edit a
Document Unit from a single action. (See “Check-out Document” and “Edit checked-out
Document” functionalities)
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
The Manual Explorer is displayed on an opened manual.
The Working tab is selected.
A Document Unit is selected in the Explorer tree.
The Document Unit is not already checked-out.
Description:
