 Missed approach The missed approach vectors are transmitted for those legs which lie within the defined edit area under the conditions noted below:

 -
If ARC or ROSE-NAV mode is selected, these vectors are transmitted if the missed approach is displayed on the onside MCDU.

 -
If PLAN mode is selected these vectors are transmitted if a missed approach waypoint is the MRP.

 

 (d)
 Offset path (Ref. Fig. 007) The offset path vectors are transmitted for those ACTIVE primary flight plan legs that lie within the defined edit area under the conditions noted below:

 -
If ARC or ROSE-NAV mode is selected and a parallel offset exists in the flight plan, these vectors are always transmitted.

 -
If PLAN mode is selected and a parallel offset exists in the flight plan, these vectors are transmitted if the ACTIVE primary flight plan vectors are being transmitted.

 


 The offset path is transmitted as the ACTIVE primary flight plan
 vectors.
 The original active path is transmitted as the offset path
 vectors.
 The offset distance, as entered on the LAT REV page, is
 transmitted as an identifier (ISO5) to be displayed on the ND.
 Flight plan waypoint symbols are only output for the original
 active path. No corresponding symbols are computed for the offset
 path.
 Leg-to-leg transitions are only computed for the offset path,
 when active. However, the original active path should
 proportionally "mirror" these leg transitions such that it
 effectively appears that transitions exist for each path.
 The FM computes a next course capture, with a 45-degree intercept
 (if necessary), for transitioning onto and off the offset path.
 These transitions are displayed as active.

 The transition to the offset path is only transmitted after inserting the offset. The transition off of the offset path is only transmitted when the next leg (after the active leg) is the last offset leg or when the offset is cleared. When an offset exists and a modification is made to the offset (creating a temporary flight plan), all 3 paths are output: offset, active, and temporary. The TEMPORARY flight plan vectors define the modified offset path. The temporary offset distance ident, as entered on the TMPY LAT REV page, is transmitted for display on the ND. No transitions are computed for the temporary offset. In the case of offset deletion, a TEMPORARY flight plan is created and only the active primary and temporary labels are output. In this case, the offset path is output under the active primary label, the original active path is output under the temporary label.
 (e) Engine-out SID The engine-out SID vectors are transmitted for those legs which lie within the defined edit area under the conditions noted below:
 -If PLAN mode is selected, these vectors are transmitted if the engine-out mode is not active.
 -
In all modes, these vectors are transmitted:
 . if the A/C is after the diversion point
 and the engine-out mode is active,
 or


 . if the A/C is before the diversion point, the engine-out mode is active but the TEMPORARY F-PLN, incorporating the EOSID, has been erased.

 -
In all modes, the EOSID is transmitted as a TEMPORARY flight


 plan if: . the A/C is before the diversion point, . and the engine-out mode is active, . and the TEMPORARY F-PLN incorporating
 the EOSID has neither been inserted nor erased.
 -The three above conditions apply until the last departure leg is sequenced. The EOSID is displayed in preflight if it exists. If the engine-out mode is active and the EOSID has been inserted before the diversion point, the EOSID is transmitted in all modes as the ACTIVE flight plan.


 (2) SECONDARY flight plan The SECONDARY flight plan may consist of the primary and alternate flight plans and each of these may have a missed approach segment. Transmission of the SECONDARY flight plan vectors includes both the primary and alternate flight plans and the missed approach legs. The flight plans are not transmitted separately as they are for the ACTIVE. Operation is the same for all modes under the conditions noted below:
 -
The SECONDARY flight plan vectors are transmitted for those legs which lie within the defined edit area.

 -
The page displayed on the onside MCDU is a SECONDARY page (i.e the SEC INDEX page or any page in the corresponding hierarchy).

 -
The SECONDARY flight plan is not identical to the ACTIVE flight


 plan within the defined edit area. If SECONDARY flight plan legs are identical to the ACTIVE flight plan legs, those which are identical will not be transmitted with the SECONDARY flight plan vectors. The ACTIVE flight vectors have precedence.
