 Attach the BEAM - LIFTING AT RIB 4 (98D54003003000) to the shackles of the pylon-to-wing attach fittings.

 (3)
 Install the GEAR - HOISTING PYLON (98D54003002000) to the crane and attach it to the pylon and the GEAR - HOISTING PYLON (98D54003002000).

 (4) Disengage the pylon from the TROLLEY - PYLON STORAGE (98D54003001000) with the BEAM - LIFTING AT RIB 4 (98D54003003000) and the GEAR -HOISTING PYLON (98D54003002000).
 (5) Install the pylon on the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000).
 (6) Attach the pylon on the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000) at the RIB1 and RIB4 and remove the GEAR - HOISTING PYLON (98D54003002000) and BEAM - LIFTING AT RIB 4 (98D54003003000) from the pylon.
 (7) Attach the crane to the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000).
 (8) Set the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000) in position under the wing with the crane.

 B. Preparation of the Spigot Fitting Installation 
R R  (1) Clean the friction surfaces and the spigot ball joint with lint-free cloth soaked with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003).
 (2) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) on the spigot ball joint.
 (3) Use the crane to lift in position under the wing the with the pylon installed on it.
 (4) Put the spigot fitting with precaution into its ball joint in the pylon.

 C. Connection of the Pylon-to-Wing Attach Fittings 
R R R  NOTE : If necessary, change the value of the forces you apply to the____ forward pylon-to-wing attach fitting, to make the installation of the sleeves easier.
 (1) Install the forward threaded pins and sleeves at RIB4: (Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 54-50-00-991-019)
 (a) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the sleeves, the spigot and all the friction surfaces.
 (b) Put the shackles (90) in position.

 (c) Install the sleeve (92).

 NOTE : Put the nuts, the cotter pins and the lockwashers:

for the upper attachments, in the outer side of the pylons (always symmetrically to the pylon centerline).

 -
for the inner attachments, in the inner side of the pylons (always symmetrically to the pylon centerline).

 (d)
 Install the lockwasher (93).

 (e)
 Install the nut (94). Lock the sleeve (92) with a special wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000). TORQUE the nut (94) to between 4 and 5 m.daN (29.49 and 36.87 lbf.ft). Use a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) and a torque wrench.

 (f)
 Safety the nut (94) with the lockwasher (93).

 (g)
 Install the bolt (91).

 (h)
 Lock the bolt (91) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) and install the nut (95) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) .

 (i)
 TORQUE the nut (95) to between 4 and 5 m.daN (29.49 and 36.87 lbf.ft).

 (j)
 Safety the nut (95) with the cotter pin (96).

 (2) Install the aft threaded pins and the sleeves at RIB10: (Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 54-50-00-991-020)
 (a)
 Put the shackles (102) in position.

 (b)
 Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the sleeves, the spigot and all the friction surfaces.

 (c)
 Install the sleeves (100).

 (d)
 Install the lockwashers (103).

 (e)
 Install the nuts (104). Lock the sleeves (100) with a special wrench. TORQUE the nuts (104) to between 1 and 12 m.daN (88.49 and 1061.94 lbf.in). Use a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) and a torque wrench.

 (f)
 Safety the nuts (104) with the lockwashers (103).

 (g)
 Install the bolts (101).

 (h)
 Lock the bolts (101) with a pin wrench PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000). Install the nuts (105) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000).

 (i)
 TORQUE the nuts (105) to between 1 and 12 m.daN (88.49 and 1061.94 lbf.in).

 (j)
 Safety the nuts (105) with the cotter pins (106). Subtask 54-50-00-420-052

 D. Removal of the Tool
 (1)
 Remove the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000) from the
 engine-to-pylon attach fitting.

 (2)
 Lower the TROLLEY - PYLON R/I (98D54003000000) on the ground.

 (3)
 Remove the crane. Subtask 54-50-00-420-053
