A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4)
Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work on the fuel system.

A. Preparation before Installation

WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Clean the parts retained from the removed component with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(2)
Before installation, make sure that:
(a)
The lockwashers (35) and (42) and the nuts (36) and (41) at RIB10 are in the correct condition. If necessary, replace the lockwashers (35), the lockwasher (42), the nuts (36) and the nut
(41) ((Ref. TASK 54-51-17-000-003) and (Ref. TASK 54-51-17-400-003)).
(b)
The tabwashers of the bearing assy at RIB10 are in the correct condition. If necessary, replace them (Ref. TASK 54-51-17-000-003) and (Ref. TASK 54-51-17-400-003).

B. Installation of the Pylon-to-Wing Aft Attach Fitting (Ref. Fig. 405/TASK 54-51-17-991-007)
(1)
Put the shackles (34) in position.
(2)
Apply the COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the sleeves, the spigot and all the friction surfaces.
(3)
Install the sleeves (32). NOTE : You can install the sleeve more easily if you change the force

that the jack applies to the attach fitting.
(4)
Install the lockwashers (35).
(5)
Install the nuts (36). Lock the sleeve (32) with a special wrench. Torque the nuts (36) to between 1 and 12 m.daN (88.49 and 1061.94 lbf.in). Use a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000) and a torque wrench.
(6)
Safety the nut (36) with the lockwasher (35).
(7)
Install the bolts (33).
(8)
Lock the bolts (33) with a pin wrench PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000). Install the nut (37) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000).
(9)
Torque the nut (37) to between 1 and 12 m.daN (88.49 and 1061.94 lbf.in).
(10)
Safety the nuts (37) with the cotter pins (38).
(11)
Put the sleeve (30) in position.
(12)
Install the lockwashers (42).
(13)
Install the nut (41). Lock the sleeve (30) with a special wrench.
Torque the nut (41) to between 1 and 12 m.daN (88.49 and 1061.94
lbf.in). Use a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH
(98D54503000000) and a torque wrench.
(14)
Safety the nut (41) with the lockwasher (42).
(15)
Install the bolt (31).

(16)
Lock the bolt (31) with a pin wrench of the PYLON REMOVAL-WRENCH (98D54503000000). Install the nut (40).
