AIRPLANES WITH GARRETT APU MODELS GTCP85-129C,-129E,-129F; Make sure that the difference between the Temperature #1 APU EGT and the Temperature #3 APU EGT is between the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM curves shown in Figure 502.
(d)
AIRPLANES WITH GARRETT APU MODELS GTCP85-129H,-129J,-129K; Make sure that the difference between the Temperature #1 APU EGT and the Temperature #3 APU EGT is |40°C of the APU EGT shown in Figure 502 for the LOW FLOW curve.
(e)
Make sure that the duct pressure shown on the P5-10 panel is more than 27 psi.
(f)
Set the L PACK switch to OFF.

Make sure that the APU EGT decreases.
(h)
Connect the electrical connector, D710, to the 35°F control sensor on the left water separator.
NOTE: The 35°F control valve will close.

(i)
Set the L and R PACK switches to HIGH.
(j)
Make sure that the EGT increases.

(7) Do these steps to make sure the APU load control valve does not affect this operational test (Right Pack):
(a)
Set the L PACK switch to OFF.
(b)
Make sure that the APU EGT decreases.
NOTE: This will make sure that the pack flow is controlled
____ by the Pack Flow Control and Shutoff Valve and not by the APU Load Control Valve. If the ambient temperature is more than 100 degrees F, APU load limiting can occur normally and the APU EGT could not decrease. Do not continue to do this test if the pack flow is controlled by the APU Load Control Valve.
(c)
If the APU EGT does not decrease, do these steps: 1) Look at the left pack flow control and shutoff valve to make sure that the valve is fully closed.
2) Look at the right pack flow control and shutoff valve to make sure that it has moved to an intermediate position.
(d)
If these things have not occurred, do the Pack Flow Control and Shutoff Valve Test.
NOTE: The EGT may not decrease if there is leakage in the APU
____ duct, the APU bleed valve, the wing TAI valve, the PRSOV, or the air conditioning ducts. To see if there is a leak in the system, switch the APU bleed valve to OFF. If the EGT decreases, there was a leak.

(8) Do this check of the water separator (Right Pack):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector, D712, from the 35°F control sensor on the right water separator.
(b)
Make sure that the right 35°F control valve moves to the full open position as shown by the visual indicator on the valve.
NOTE: If the right 35°F control valve does not move to the
____ full open position, then there is a problem with the valve or the wiring.
(c) Make sure that the bag condition indicator on the right water separator is below the red band as shown by the visual indicator on the water separator.
NOTE: The water separator bag has contamination when the bag
____ condition indicator is in the red band. Remove and replace the water separator bag if the bag condition indicator is in the red band.
