 (5)  Apply a continuous layer of the adhesive to the gasket and the metal
 bonding surface.
 NOTE:____ Do not permit a skin to dry on the surface of the adhesive.

Put the gasket on the metal bonding surface.

Use a flat metal plate and apply 10 to 20 pounds of pressure to make sure the gasket bonds correctly.

 (b) Put the edge of the swing check valve which does not have the
 hinge on the straight edge.
 (c) Make sure there is a small clearance between the edge of the
 swing check valve and the straight edge below the hinge.
 (d) Push down on the swing check valve at hinge.
 (e) Make sure the clearance in the above step closes without too
 much downward force.
 (f) Release the pressure on the swing check valve.
 (g) Make sure the clearance in the above step opens.
 (h) Adjust the hinge if there is no clearance or if too much force
 is necessary to push down on the swing check valve:
 1) Loosen the hinge adjustment screws.
 2) Move the hinge up or down.
 3) Tighten the hinge adjustment screws.
 E.  Install the Duct and Check Valve Assembly
 S 424-020
 (1) Put the duct and check valve assembly in its position.

 (2) Install the seals, washers, and bolts to the lower flange of the
 duct and check valve assembly.

 (3) Connect the flexible duct to the duct and check valve assembly and
 install the band clamps.

 (4) Connect the condensate drain to the duct and check valve assembly.
 F.  Do a Test of the Duct and Check Valve Assembly
