Remove the dust cap from the oil line.

 (5)  
Install the oil tube fittings.

 S 414-021-001

 (6)  
Install the oil tubes and the drain plugs.

 (7)  
Tighten the connections:

 (a)  
Tighten the oil-in fitting to a torque of 120 to 150
 pound-inches.

 (b)  
Tighten the oil-out fitting to a torque of 90 to 110
 pound-inches.

 (c)  
Tighten the oil inlet and the oil outlet lines to a torque of 240 to 360 pound-inches.

 (d)  
Tighten the magnetic plug P/N's A3269 and A3269A to a torque of 25 to 35 pound-inches.

 (e)  
Tighten the magnetic plug P/N's A7713 and A7784 to a torque of 15 to 20 pound-inches.

 (f)  
Tighten the magnetic plug body to a torque of 30 to 40 pound-inches.

 (g)  
Tighten the output drain fitting to a torque of 60 to 80 pound-inches.

 (h)  
Tighten the gravity fill plug to a torque of 110 to 115 pound-inches.

 (i)  
Tighten the tank drain plug to a torque of 75 to 100
 pound-inches.

 (j)  
Tighten the fill check valve in the input spline cavity to a torque of 55 to 75 pound-inches.

 (k)  
Tighten the cap for the fill check valve to a torque of 30 to 50 pound-inches.

 

 (8)  
Install the ac generator if you did not install it with the CSD:

 NOTE: The generator and the CSD are usually installed as a
____
 unit, if you have the adapter.

 (a)  Install the twelve nuts on the studs found on the CSD output flange. 1) Make sure that there is a minimum of 1/2 an inch between
 the bottom of the nut and the CSD flange.

 (b)  
Apply a thin, continuous layer of grease on the CSD mounting flange where the generator will touch. Use 730691 or Rheolube 733MZ or Rheotemp 500MZ or a 1:1 mixture by weight of Molybdenum Disulfide and Unitemp 500. 1) Make sure the grease is continuous around the perimeter of

 the CSD. 2) Make sure there are no open areas near the CSD mounting studs.

 (c)  
Lubricate the generator input spline with a thin layer of grease. Use 730691 or Rheolube 733MZ or Rheotemp 500MZ or a 1:1 mixture by weight of Molybdenum Disulfide and Unitemp 500.

 (d)  
Put the generator in its correct position on the CSD output flange.

 NOTE: Make sure that the nuts go through the holes in the
____
 generator input flange.

 1)  Make sure that the nuts are sufficiently loose to let the generator turn freely.
 (e)  Turn the generator clockwise, until the studs are in their correct position.
