C. Procedure

(1)
Install the sensor mounting bracket if you removed it.

Put the sensor on the inboard side of the sensor mounting bracket.

Install the sensor mounting screws and washers.

(4)
Connect the sensor hot wire to pin 11 of the fueling panel disconnect receptacle.

Connect the sensor ground wire to the ground terminal screw.

Use the non-magnetic feeler gage to make sure the clearance is correct between the actuator magnet and the sensor.
NOTE: The clearance must be 0.080 | 0.020 inch at all the positions
____ of the access door between the open and closed positions.

(7) Do the steps that follow to adjust the clearance if it is necessary.
(a)
Loosen the screws for the sensor mounting bracket.
(b)
Move the bracket to get the correct clearance.
(c)
Tighten the screws for the sensor mounting bracket.

C00057 - Primer, Zinc Chromate TT-P-1757 Color Y.
(2)
Use one of these sealants (adhesives):
(a)
A00142 - BMS 5-44, Class B
(b)
A00247 - BMS 5-95
(3)
B00148 - Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) or equivalent

(1)
Remove the actuator bracket from the fueling station door.

(2)
Remove the remaining adhesive from the actuator magnet and the bracket.

(3)
Use solvent, Series 90 (AMM 20-30-90/201) to clean the faying surfaces of the magnet and the bracket.
(4)
Apply one layer of primer to the magnet and the bracket.
(5)
Apply adhesive to the faying surfaces.

Put the magnet on the bracket and push them lightly together.

NOTE:____Do not apply too much adhesive to the surfaces. Unwanted adhesive will come out of the space between the two surfaces when you push them together.
