 NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE.
 (3)  Apply the solution of alkaline cleaner and water to the compartment with the airless pump and the spray valve.
 NOTE:____ Let the solution soak for 5 minutes, but do not let it dry. Apply more solution as necessary to keep the surfaces wet.
 (4)  S 147-011Remove the solution and the materials loosened by the solution with the vacuum cleaner.
 (5)  S 147-012Do steps (3) and (4) again until the compartment is clean, as necessary.
 (6)  S 177-013Flush the compartment with clean water.
 (7)  S 147-014Remove the water with the vacuum cleaner, as necessary.
 (8)  S 287-015Do this pH check for the compartment as follows: (a) Do a pH check of the clean water. (b) Do a pH check of the water which remains caught in the compartment.
 NOTE:____ Do this check in more than one place.
 (c) (d)  Compare the pH of the clean water with the pH of the water still caught in the compartment.Make sure the pH in step (b) is not more than 1 pH unit of the pH in step (a).
 NOTE:____ If not, flush the compartment again with clean water.
 (9)  S 147-016Dry the compartment with clean, cloth wipers, as necessary.

 3.  Clean the Main Deck Cargo Compartment and Cargo Conveyor System_______________________________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  This task gives instructions to clean the cargo compartment and cargo conveyor system on the main deck. Dirt, fluids, and other unwanted materials collect in the cargo compartment when cargo or animals are kept there.
 CAUTION: DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE SPRAY TO CLEAN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT
_______ AND/OR CARGO CONVEYOR SYSTEM. IF YOU DO, THE HIGH PRESSURE SPRAY COULD GET INTO AREAS WHICH SHOULD NOT GET WET. THE HIGH PRESSURE SPRAY COULD CAUSE CORROSION OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT WITH BEARINGS, BUSHINGS, SEALS, ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS, ECT.
 (2)  
This task is a general procedure to clean the cargo compartment and cargo conveyor system. No special tools or equipment are necessary. The compartment and the conveyor system equipment are cleaned by hand with brushes, sponges, mops, ect. Do not use equipment with high pressure spray to clean the compartment and/or cargo conveyor system. The high pressure spray could cause corrosion or damage to equipment with bearings, bushings, seals, electrical connections, ect.

 (3)  
When you clean the cargo compartment, it may be necessary to remove some or all of the cargo conveyor system. Do only those steps that are necessary to clean the compartment and/or conveyor system.
