 S 715-015
 (9)  In the forward compartment, put the LATERAL GUIDE switch in the RETRACT BOTH position.
 (a)  Make sure the aft lateral guide rails retract and stay retracted.
 S 715-016
 (10) Check operation of the forward cargo compartment power drive system.
 (a)  
Put a piece of paper, or equivalent cover, over the sensor of the roller tray mounted, Power Drive Unit (PDU), at LBL 32.5 Station 935, and hold the joystick in the AFT (load) position.

 (b)  
Make sure the covered PDU raises up and the drive-wheels turn in the aft direction. Verify that PDU stops after approximately 6 seconds and the yellow LED on the PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 895, is constantly on.

 (c)  
Put an additional cover over the sensor of the PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 895 and hold the joystick in the AFT position. This PDU should stop after approximately 6 seconds and the yellow LED on the PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 855 should constantly be on.

 (d)  
Cover the sensor of the PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 855 and repeat the same procedure for PDU's at Station 815, 775, 735, and 695.

 (e)  
Put an additional cover over the sensor of the longitudinal (fwd/aft) ballmat PDU's at LBL 38.16, Station 656, 616, and 583 and hold the joystick in the AFT position. These PDU's should not stop after 6 seconds.

 (f)  
Put the joystick in the FWD (unload) position, release joystick for a period less than 2 seconds and put the joystick in the FWD position again. The ballmat PDU's at LBL 38.16, Station 656, 616, and 583, and the roller tray PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 695 should operate in the fwd direction.

 (g)  
Release and activate joystick in the FWD position again. The PDU at LBL 32.5, Station 735 should also start operating.

 (h)  
Continue to release and activate joystick in the FWD position until all PDU's at LBL 32.5, aft of the doorway, operate.

 (i)  
Hold joystick in LEFT AFT position. All covered PDU's should operate. Put the Bay 4 and 5 cutoff switches to OFF. PDU's in bays 4 and 5 should stop. Put the switches back to ON.

 (j)  
Put joystick in RIGHT AFT position. All covered PDU's should not operate.

 (k)  
Remove all covers on PDU's.

 (l)  
Accomplish the same steps for PDU's at RBL 32.5 and 38.16.

 (m)  
Accomplish the same steps for PDU's forward of doorway, at both RBL and LBL 32.5, starting with PDU at Station 515 and working aft.

 (n)  
Cover the sensors of all ballmat PDU's. Put joystick in FWD or AFT position. All longitudinal PDU's should operate and continue to operate after 6 seconds. Put joystick in IN or OUT position. All lateral PDU's should operate and continue to operate after 6 seconds.

 (o)  
With ballmat PDU sensors still covered, put LATERAL GUIDES switch in the NORMAL position. Lateral guides should raise.
