A. Removal of the Pipe Assembly
(1)
Remove the electrical connectors (9) and (17).
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Disconnect the sense line (6).
(4)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.

(5) Remove and discard the nuts (1), the washers (2) and disconnect the retaining cables (3).
NOTE : Hold the hexagon part of the retaining cables (3) to prevent
____ twisting of the cables when you remove the nuts (1).

Remove and discard the lockwire and remove the clamp (15) and the half-clamps (12).
(7)
Hold the pipe assembly (21) and move the sleeve (16) clear of the packings (14).
(8)
Carefully remove the pipe assembly (21) from the sleeve (4).
(9)
Remove and discard the seal (5).
(10) Remove the sleeve (16) and remove and discard the packings (14).
(11) Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends. R **ON A/C 401-499,

If the pipe assembly is to be installed in conjunction with the installation of the heat exchanger unit (Ref. AMM Task 21-52-24-400-001) then the seal item (5) is not required, this seal is called for in the above referenced AMM Task.
