 A. Installation of the Attachment Components

 Put the support rods (80), (82) and (83) in their applicable positions in the brackets (1).

 (2)
 Install the bushings (58), if fitted the washers (57), the bolts (56), the washers (55) and the nuts (54).

_______ AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES : -FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES. -GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS : THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
 (1) Removal and Replacement of the Identification Plates
 (a)
 Remove the screws (52), the pack amendment plate (53) and the pack identification plate (51) from the removed heat exchanger unit (7).

 (b)
 Put the pack amendment plate (53) and the pack identification plate (51) in position on the replacement heat exchanger unit (7) and install the screws (52).

 NOTE : These steps are necessary as these plates carry the data
____ for the air conditioning pack.

 (2) Cleaning of the Duct and the Sleeve Sealing Surfaces
 WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE_______ THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES AND GOGGLES.
 (a) Remove the blanking caps from the applicable ducts and flanges.
 (b) Remove all deposits from the sealing surfaces with lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001K).
 (c) Thoroughly dry the sealing surfaces.
 (3) Inspection of the Duct and Sleeve Sealing Surfaces
 (a) Make sure that the seal contact surfaces of the items which follow are free from distortion, scratches and blemishes: - the duct (15), - the flanges (4), (10), (17), (70), (76), - the pipe assembly (91) and, - all other related seal contact areas.
 (b) Make sure that the seal location grooves in the sleeves (3), (16), (72), (77), (79) and (88) are not damaged or distorted. 
R  (4) Lubricate the new seals as necessary: 
R R R  NOTE : It is not necessary to lubricate the seals that have part____ numbers from the ABS1040 series. 
R  (a) Apply a small quantity of: - COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-007) or - LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-007) to:
 NOTE : The material 04-007 is a molybdenum disulfide powder.____ Before you can apply it you must first make it into a paste. To do this you must mix the powder with pure water or white spirit.
 NOTE : The material 06-007 is applied dry.____

 2_ the new seal (87) and,
 3_ the new seal (71) and,
 4_ the new seal (77) and,
 5_ for the left heat-exchamger unit the new seal (89) and,
 6_  for the right heat-exchamger unit the new seal (189) and,
R  (5) Installation of the seals 
R  (a) Carefully put the new seals in the sleeves in this sequence:
 1_ the seals (87) in the sleeve (88),
 2_ the seals (71) in the sleeve (72),
 3_ the seals (77) in the sleeves (78) and (79) and,
 4_ for: - the left main heat exchanger the seals (89) in the sleeve (3), - the right heat exchanger unit the seals (189) in the sleeve (3),
