4. Procedure

A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the sensors (10) and (18).
(2)
Remove the sensors (10) and (18) and remove and discard the packings (11).
(3)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (7).
(4)
Remove the screws (7), the washers (8), the sensor (23) and remove and discard the packing (22).
(5)
(When installed) remove and discard the lockwire, remove the blanking plug (19) and remove and discard the seal (20).
(6)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(7)
Do the detailed visual inspection of the pipe assembly (Ref. TASK 21-52-00-200-002).
(8)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(9)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(10)
Apply a small quantity of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the contact faces of the new packing (11) and packing (22), the sensors
(10) and (18) and the screws (7).
(11)
Put the packings (11) in position on the sensors (10) and (18).
(12)
Put the sensors (10) and (18) in position in the pipe assembly (21).
(13)
TORQUE the sensors (10) and (18) to between 0.5 and 1.0 m.daN (44.24 and 88.49 lbf.in).
(14)
Put the packing (22) in position on the sensor (23).
(15)
Put the sensor (23) in position in the pipe assembly (21) and install the washers (8) and the screws (7).
(16)
Wipe clean the excess COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) from the sensors (10) and (18) and from the screws (7).
(17)
Safety the sensors (10) and (18) and the screws (7) with annealed stainless-steel lockwire, diameter 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).
(18)
(When installed) put the new seal (20) in position on the blanking plug (19) and install it in the pipe assembly (21).
(19)
TORQUE the blanking plug (19) to between 0.5 and 1.0 m.daN (44.24 and
88.49 lbf.in) and safety with annealed stainless-steel lockwire, diameter 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).

Put the sensor (7) in position in the pipe assembly (9).

TORQUE the sensor (7) to between 0.5 and 1.0 m.daN (44.24 and 88.49 lbf.in).
(11)
Wipe clean the excess COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) from the sensor (7).
(12)
Safety the sensor (7) with annealed stainless-steel lockwire, diameter 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).

B. Installation of the Pipe Assembly
(1)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
