2 Purpose
_ The purpose of this page is identical to that of the FIX INFO 1 page. This page simply provides the capability to define references from a second fix without affecting the references chosen from the first fix.

_ R - Title: same as the FIX INFO 1 page except that column 20 R contains a "2".

(12) Direct F-PLN revisions
(a) Insert a new waypoint This function results from the direct entry of a new waypoint into the flight plan via the F-PLN page. This function is essentially identical to the next waypoint function in LAT REV except as noted below. The new waypoint is inserted at the position selected by the pilot (all markers are included). However, it cannot be inserted directly following FM or VM legs or at the FROM waypoint (except PPOS). When the insertion point is PPOS, PPOS-DISCON is retained and the entered waypoint is inserted as an initial fix following the
DISCON.

In Nav mode, direct waypoint entry is not allowed at the FROM waypoint nor at the TO waypoint.
(b) Clear waypoint or discontinuity This function is invoked by first pressing the CLR function key with the F-PLN page displayed and the scratchpad empty. Then the left line select key, next to the selected waypoint, is pressed. The function performed depends on whether the waypoint is a downpath waypoint, the TO waypoint or the FROM waypoint.

Clearing a downpath lateral waypoint or discontinuity deletes the selected leg from the flight plan. Generally, when a downpath leg is deleted, a discontinuity is inserted in its place. Note that it is never permitted to have successive discontinuities. However, a discontinuity is not inserted when a PF or a HX leg is cleared. Nevertheless, if a discontinuity followed the PF leg, the discontinuity is preserved. For HX legs, the HX is removed. If a discontinuity followed the HX leg, the
discontinuity is preserved: otherwise, no discontinuity is inserted. Deletion of either termination of a conditional leg clears both terminations. Further, anytime the fix following a conditional leg is deleted, the conditional altitude termination is deleted, regardless of which termination is predicted to be flown.

Clearing the TO waypoint is not allowed when NAV is engaged. A message NOT ALLOWED IN NAV is displayed on the MCDU. When in preflight and with the origin waypoint as the FROM, clearing the TO waypoint results in the following F-PLN:

Clearing the FROM waypoint is not allowed when NAV is engaged.

Clearing a discontinuity is allowed except when it follows PPOS or a VM or FM leg. When a discontinuity is cleared, it is replaced by a direct leg strung from the termination which preceded the discontinuity to the initial fix which followed the discontinuity. If the same fix exists on each side of a discontinuity and that discontinuity is cleared, only one fix remains. Any constraints and pilot-entered data are preserved. In case of conflict, downpath waypoint constraints have priority (following general rules).

Clearing the ORIGIN or DESTINATION is not allowed.
