4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Hydraulic Suction Hose/Tube Assembly
(1)
Remove the protective covers from the ends of the suction hose/tube (25), the fluid disconnect panel and the union in the hydraulic pump.
(2)
Connect the coupling half (15) to the suction hose/tube (25).
(3)
TORQUE the coupling nut on the suction hose/tube (25) to between 9.04 and 10.2 m.daN (66.66 and 75.22 lbf.ft).
(4)
Connect the adapter assembly (60) to the suction hose/tube (25).
(5)
TORQUE the coupling nut on the suction hose/tube (25) to between 10.7 and 13.0 m.daN (78.90 and 95.87 lbf.ft).
(6)
Connect the coupling half (15) on the suction hose/tube (25) to the fluid disconnect panel. Tighten the coupling half by hand.
(7)
Attach the suction hose/tube (25) to the higher bracket with the clamp (20), the bolt (5) and the washer (10). Do not TORQUE the bolt at this time.
(8)
Attach the suction hose/tube (25) to the two channels with the clamps (35), the bolts (30) and the washers (10). Do not TORQUE the bolts at this time.
(9)
Attach the suction hose/tube (25) to the lower bracket with the clamp (35), the bolt (30), and the washer (10). Do not TORQUE the bolt at this time.
NOTE : Put the top edge of the clamp at a distance of 43.9 mm (1.7283
____ in.) above the flange of the suction hose/tube.
(10)
Install the center mount clamp (55) as follows:
(a)
Remove the bolt (40), the washer (45) and the nut (50) from the band on the clamp (55).
(b)
Open the band on the center mount clamp (55) and put the suction hose/tube (25) into its hole in the insert.
(c)
Put the band on the insert and install the bolt (40), the washer
(45) and the nut (50).
(d)
Make sure that the center mount clamp is installed at a distance of 338 mm (13.3070 in.) below the flange of the suction hose/tube.
(e)
TORQUE the nut (50) to between 0.23 and 0.28 m.daN (20.35 and
24.77 lbf.in).
(11)
Make sure that the suction hose/tube (25) is in the correct position on the engine.
(12)
Connect the adapter assembly (60) on the suction hose/tube (25) to the union in the hydraulic pump.
NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the union on the hydraulic pump

when you TORQUE the adapter assembly.
(13)
TORQUE the adapter assembly (60) to between 9.04 and 10.2 m.daN
(66.66 and 75.22 lbf.ft).
(14)
TORQUE the bolts (5) and (30) to between 0.23 and 0.28 m.daN (20.35 and 24.77 lbf.in).

Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1702GK

C. Operational test
(1)
Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2)
During the dry motoring of the engine 1, make sure that there are no leaks from the suction hose/tube.
(3)
Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
