(1) Make sure that the cargo door is correctly closed and locked with the locking handle in the recess of the handle flap.

Disconnect the electrical connector (21) from the target (23).
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Measure the clearance J1 between the target (31) and the related proximity sensor (23).
-The clearance J1 must be 1.75 -0.25 +0.25 mm (0.0688 -0.0098 +0.0098 in.).

If the clearance J1 is not in the tolerances adjust as follows:
(a)
Release the tabs of the tab washers (36) from the jam nuts (37).
(b)
Loosen the jam nuts (37) to disassemble the link assy (40).
(c)
Turn the connector rod (38) counterclockwise to remove it from the two fork ends (35), (39).
(d)
Remove and discard the tab washers (36) from the connection rod (38).
R (e) Install new tab washers (36) on the connection rod (38).
(f)
Put the connection rod (38) to between the lower (35) and the top fork end (39) and turn it clockwise to assemble the link assy (40).
(g)
Turn the connection rod (38) until the clearance between the sensor (23) and the target (31) is correct.
(h)
Examine the link assy (40) to make sure that the connection rod
(38) is installed correctly in the two fork ends (35), (39).
(i)
Tighten the jam nuts (37) and safety them with tab washers (36).
(6)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(7)
Connect the electrical connector (21) of the proximity sensor (23).
(8)
Go out of the cargo compartment and close the applicable cargo compartment door.

(1) Do an operational test of the door warning system related to the cargo doors (Ref. TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the access panel(s) 825AR and/or 826AR.
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4)
Close the applicable cargo door 825 or 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
