C. Get Access
(1)
Put an access platform in position at the applicable emergency exit 834 or 843 or 833 or 844.
(2)
Open the applicable emergency exit 833 or 834 or 843 or 844 from the outside (Ref. TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3)
Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. TASK 52-22-00-860-003).

4. Procedure

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(Ref. Fig. 511/TASK 52-71-00-991-013)
WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1)
Make sure that the emergency exits are closed.
(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity switch (2).
(3)
Connect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) to the electrical connector of the proximity switch (2).
(4)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (4).
(5)
Loosen the nut (4) of the target (3).
(6)
Turn the target (3) until the NEAR indicator light comes on. NOTE : The target (3) and the proximity switch (2) must not be in
____
contact.
(7)
Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the FAR indicator light comes on.
(8)
From this position, screw the target (3) by two turns to two turns and a half.
(9)
Tighten the nut (4) and safety it with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(10) Disconnect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) from the proximity switch.
