Loosen the jam nuts (37) to disassemble the link assy (40).
(c)
Turn the connection rod (38) counterclockwise to remove it from the both fork ends (35),(39).
(d)
Remove and discard the tab washers (36) from the connection rod (38).
(e)
Install new tab washers (36) on the connection rod (38).
(f)
Put the connection rod (38) to between the lower (35) and the top fork end (39) and turn it clockwise to assemble the link assy (40).
(g)
Turn the connection rod (38) until the clearance between the sensor (23) and the target (31) is correct.
(h)
Examine the link assy (40) to make sure that the connection rod
(38) is installed correctly in the both fork ends (35),(39).
(i)
Tighten the jam nuts (37) and safety them with the tab washers (36).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1MJ, 1GA

(1)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2)
Do this test to make sure that the proximity switch operates correctly.
