- do a check for a short to ground at pins AB/4A, 15F of the MMR-2 (40RT2) (Ref. ASM 34-36/01).
 (1) If there is no short to ground:

 - replace the MMR-2 (40RT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002).

 (2) If there is a short to ground at pin AB/4A:

 - replace the LGCIU-2 (5GA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-71-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-71-400-001).
 (a) If there is a short to ground at pin AB/4A:
 - do a check and repair the wiring between the MMR2(40RT2) and the LGCIU2(5GA2) for pin AB/4A and pin AB/8H (Ref. ASM 34-36/01).

 (3) If there is a short to ground at pin AB/15F:

 - replace the FMGC-2 (1CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-83-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-83-34-400-001).
 (a) If there is a short to ground at pin AB/15F:
 - do a check and repair the wiring between the MMR2(40RT2) and the FMGC2(1CA2) for pin AB/15F and pin AB/9A (Ref. ASM 34-36/01).
 B. Do the test given in para. 3.

 (1) If the test gives the maintenance message ADIRU2(1FP2)/MMR2(40RT2):

 - replace the ADIRU that you installed on side 2.

 (2) If the fault continues:

 - swap the MMR-1 (40RT1) and the MMR-2 (40RT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-36-31-400-002).
 (a) If the test gives the maintenance message ADIRU2(1FP2)/MMR2(40RT2):

 - replace the MMR that you installed on side 2.

 (b) If the fault continues:

 - do a check and repair the wiring between the ADIRU1 and the MMR1 for pins AB/5E, 6E and AB/8A, 8B (Ref. ASM 34-36/02).
