Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is on.

 (c)  
Push the A/T disengage switch on the thrust lever for engine No. 1.

 (d)  
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester goes out.

 (e)  
Release the A/T disengage switch.

Make sure the autothrottle is engaged.

 (c)  
Make sure the autothrottle warning lights are off.

 (d)  
Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is on.

 (e)  
Push the autothrottle disconnect switch.

 (f)  
Make sure the autothrottle warning lights flash.

 (g)  
Make sure the BIT 2 light on the portable tester is off.

 (h)  
Release the autothrottle disconnect switch.

Set the portable tester to SUBFRAME 2, WORD 13.

 (c)  
Ground pin A of electrical connector D776.

 (d)  
Make sure the BIT 1 light on the portable tester is off.

 (e)  
Remove the ground from pin A on electrical connector D776.
