Put the sensor in the support bracket with the shaft down.

Apply a thin layer of corrosion preventive compound on the inner and outer surfaces of the clamp screw threads.

 (3)  
Install the sensor clamp screws.

 (4)  
Tighten the screws to 30-35 pound-inches.

 (5)  
Install the pulley drum on the end of the shaft.

 (6)  
Attach the pulley drum with the bolt, nut and washer.

 (7)  Install the cables (Fig. 401).
 (a)  
Install cable C between the bottom spool on the sensor pulley drum and the bottom spool of the drum on the drum shaft.

 (b)  
With the cable terminals attached to the pulley and drum, attach the cable terminals with the cotter pin (Fig. 402).

 (c)  
Attach the pulley terminal end of cable A to the top spool of the sensor pulley.

 (d)  
Attach the pulley terminal end of cable B to the top spool at the pulley drum on the drum shaft (Fig. 401).

 (e)  
Attach the terminals with cotter pins.

 (f)  
Connect a spring between the loose end terminals of cables A and B.

 (g)  
Loosen the mounting bolts on the sensor support bracket.

 (h)  
Move the bracket in the slots on the right angle bracket to align the cables.

 (i)  
Lubricate the cables with grease for the full length of travel on the drum and quadrant.

 (j)  
AIRPLANES WITHOUT SERVICE LETTER 737-SL-27-089-A; Make sure the dimension across the spring between the cable terminals is 2.09 |0.02 inches (Fig. 401).

 (k)  
AIRPLANES WITH SERVICE LETTER 737-SL-27-089-A; Make sure the dimension across the spring between the cable terminals is 2.03 |0.02 inches (Fig. 401). 1) Remove the laminations from the laminated shim to get the

 correct dimension.
