 (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) (k)  Tighten the nuts on the switch and the adjustment bolt.Manually crank the hook actuator to the open position.Electrically close the door to the fully closed position.Manually turn the hook actuator clockwise and carefully count the number of turns before the internal stops are contacted per Fig. 506.For a 60B00304-3 or 60B00304-5 actuator, make sure there are between 2 and 3 turns before the internal stops are contacted.If the turns are not correct, adjust the hook closed switch as necessary so there are 3 turns remaining before the internal stops are contacted:
 CAUTION:_______ IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DO
 DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR.  WAIT AT
 LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT.  IF THE DOOR
 STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 1) 2)  Open the door to gain access to the switch.Manually crank the hook actuator manual drive clockwise to the point where the switch actuates. The switch actuates when there is no continuity between pin 10 on P3 plug and ground while turning the hooks in the closed (clockwise) direction.

 3)  If there is more than 3 turns of clearance, manually crank the hook actuator manual drive in the closing (clockwise) direction the number of turns of clearance minus 3.
 If there is less than 2 turns of clearance, manually crank the hook actuator manual drive in the opening (counterclockwise) direction 2 minus the number of turns of clearance.
 For example: If 5 turns of clearance remains after the door is closed electrically, then 5 turns minus 3 turns equals 2 turns. Thus the hooks should be closed 2 turns beyond the point of switch actuation. Reset the switch to actuate at this point.

 Adjust the door closed switch (Fig. 505):

 (a)  
Close and latch the door.

 (b)  
Make sure the door is correctly faired (Fig. 507).

 1)  If the door is not correctly faired, adjust the hook pin fittings and the latch pin fittings.

 (c)  
Adjust the switch in the bracket and turn the adjustment bolt until the switch plunger bottoms-out. Then, turn the adjustment bolt back 3.0 |1/8 turns to get the 0.125-inch clearance between the adjustment bolt and switch plunger's bottomed-out position.

 If the faying surface sealant was removed during the hook position switch adjustment, apply new faying surface sealant (Ref 51-31-01/201).

 (b)  
When the switch actuates, it should move smoothly, quickly and cleanly to the next position.

 (c)  
With an ohmeter across the switch, make sure the needle movement is smooth.

 (d)  
When the switch is closed, the switch resistance should be much less than one ohm.

 (e)  
If the switch does not operate correctly, it should be replaced.

 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

 (f)  
Open the door to get access to the switch.

 CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR TO FIND WHEN THE
_______ INTERNAL STOPS TOUCH EACH OTHER (FIG. 502). DO NOT TURN THE TORQUE WRENCH WHEN THE TORQUE INCREASES 10-20 POUND-INCHES. TOO MUCH TORQUE CAN DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR.
