Turn the latch cams to the closed position as follows:

 (a)  
Manually turn the hooks to the hook closed position approximately 15 turns or until the hook position switch starts.

 (b)  
Hold the door control switch in the closed position approximately 3 seconds until the hooks turn to the full closed position.

 (c)  
Manually push and hold the plunger of the door closed switch and the door control switch in the closed position.

 NOTE: The latch cams will turn electrically to the full closed
____
 position.

Open these circuit breakers for the applicable cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P59 Aft Equipment Panel
 1) AFT CARGO DOOR POWER UNITS

 (b)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
 1) 414A21 LOWER CARGO DOOR FWD
 2) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD
 3) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT

 (4)  
Clean the surfaces on the latch cam and latch pin fitting for the installation of the stripes and arrows as follows:

 (a)  
Use a clean cloth to remove unwanted material, grease or oil from the surfaces.

 (b)  
Get the surface wet with solvent.

 (c)  
Clean the surfaces with clean cloth.

 NOTE: Do not put clean cloth into the solvent container
____
 (d)  
Do the above steps again if it is necessary.

 (e)  
Apply sealant (Type I) to the cleaned surfaces on the latch cams and latch pin fitting.

 (f)  
Use tape to make the shapes of the stripe and arrow to the specified dimension per View D and A-A as follows: 1) Make the stripe shape on the latch cam. 2) Make the arrow shape on the latch pin fitting.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the applicable cargo door:

 (a)  
P59 Aft Equipment Panel
 1) AFT CARGO DOOR POWER UNITS

 (b)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
 1) 414A21 LOWER CARGO DOOR FWD
 2) 414F15 CARGO DOOR CONTROL FWD
 3) 414F16 CARGO DOOR CONTROL AFT

 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFOE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (6)  
Open the cargo door electrically an additional 3 feet to turn the hooks and cams to the opened position.

Close the cargo door electrically to the full closed position.

 (8)  
Put the master latch lock handle to the closed position.

 (9)  
Adjust the position of the latch alignment stripes and arrows as follows:

 (a)  
Do a visual check of the latch alignment stripes and arrows.

 (b)  
Make sure the aligned position of the latch alignment stripes and arrows are per View D.

 (c)  
If it is necessary, move the tape that makes the latch alignment arrow shape inboard or outboard to get the aligned position.

 NOTE: Do not move the tape that makes the latch alignment
____ stripe to adjust the aligned position.

 (10)
 Open the cargo door electrically to the vertical position (Ref 52-34-00/001).

 (11)
 Turn the latch cams to the closed position as follows:

 (a)  
Manually turn the hooks to the hook closed position approximately 15 turns or until the hook position switch starts.
