Prepare for the Installation of the No. 19, 20 or 21 Fuel Injector and Support

 (1)
Examine the clearance between the outer diameter of the support (5) and the inner diameter of the diffuser and combustor case boss.

 (a)  
Make sure the clearance is in the limits that are given in the table below:

G.  Procedure
 S 424-462-N00
 (1)  
Install the No. 19, 20 or 21 fuel injector and support.

 (a)  
Remove the protection caps.

 (b)  
Lubricate the gasket (19) with the beeswax.

 (c)  
Put the gasket (19) on the boss on the diffuser and combustor case.

 (d)  
Install the fuel injector (5) in the boss on the diffuser and combustor case.

 NOTE: Turn or lift the fuel injector, as it is necessary, to
____ install the fuel injector in the diffuser and combustor case.
 1)  Align the bolt holes in the support with the bolt holes in the diffuser and combustor case.
 (e)  
For the No. 20 fuel injector, put the bracket (9) on the fuel injector (5) with the bolt holes aligned.

 (f)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, clean the bracket (7) and the mating surfaces on the fuel injector (AMM 20-11-15/401).

 (g)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, put the brackets (7, 8) on the fuel injector (5) with the bolt holes aligned.

 (h)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts (21) with engine oil.

 (i)  
For the No. 20 fuel injector, install the bolts (21) to attach the fuel injector (5) and the bracket (9) to the diffuser and combustor case.

 (j)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, install the bolts (21) to attach the fuel injector (5) and the bracket (7, 8) to the diffuser and combustor case. 1) Tighten the bolts (21) to 65-85 pound-inches (7.3-9.6

 newton-meters). 2) Tighten the bolts (21) again to 65-85 pound-inches (7.3-9.6 newton-meters) until you keep the necessary torque. 3) Install the lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule to the bolts (21).

(k)  For the No. 20 fuel injector, attach the PT4.95 sense tube with the steps that follow: 1) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (65) with engine oil. 2) ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 73-106;
 Attach the tube clamp (63) for the PT4.95 sense tube to the
 bracket (9) with the bolt (65) and nut (64).
 a) Tighten the nut (64).

 3)  ENGINES POST-PW-SB 73-106; Attach the tube clamp (63) for the PT4.95 sense tube to the bracket (9) with the bolt (65). a) Tighten the bolt (65).
 (l)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, install the two ground straps (71, 78) to the bracket (7) with the screws (70, 80) and washers (69, 79) (AMM 20-11-15/401).

 (m)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, do a check of the electrical bonding between the bracket (7) and the fuel injector (5) (AMM 20-22-01/601). 1) You must have a resistance of 0.005 ohm maximum.

 (n)  
For the No. 21 fuel injector, do the steps that follow: 1) Apply the sealant or adhesive to make the fillet seal around the bracket (7).
