(29) Support the airplane at the tail. Use the tail trestle. Refer to Section 07-10.
(30) Attach the sling to the engine. Attach the sling to the hoist. There are lifting points at: S Front right cylinder head. S Front left of the reduction gear housing. S Rear left of the cylinder head near coolant pump.
(31) Take the weight of the engine with the hoist.
(32) Remove the nuts, bolts and washers that attach the engine to the engine mount.
(33) Lift the engine a small distance, turn it slightly to the right side and move it at the same time forward and clear of the engine mount. Make sure that the engine does not hit the engine mount.
(34) Attach the shipping stand to the engine.
(35) Install the turbo-charger support strut.
(36) Remove the coolant bypass pipe.
(37) Remove the oil filler tube: S Release the attaching bolts. S Remove the oil filler tube. S Put caps on the open pipes and connections.
(38) Put caps on the open-end pipes and connections.
(39) Prepare engine for shipping. Note TT hours and reason for removal.
(40) Clean firewall and engine mount.
(41) Examine the engine mount for cracks and corrosion.

(42) Check lifetime of the elastomer hoses and replace as necessary.
(43) If engine was removed because of oil system contamination: Remove and discard oil radiator and oil hoses. Refer to Section 79-01.

(1) Attach the sling to the engine. Attach the sling to the hoist. There are lifting points at: S Front right cylinder head. S Front left of the reduction gear housing. S Rear left of the cylinder head near coolant pump.
(2) Remove the support strut from the turbo-charger.
(3) Remove the oil hose from the turbo-charger cage tank to the oil return pump. At the cage tank, front side.
(4) Remove the shipping stand from the engine.
(5) Carefully move the engine back into position in the engine mount. Make sure that the engine does not hit the engine mount.
(6) Install the bolts, nuts and washer that attach the engine shock-mounts to the engine mount. Refer to Chapter 20 for torque values.
(7) Install the bonding cable at the engine near each engine shock-mount.
(8) Install the turbo-charger support strut.
(9) Connect the oil hose from the turbo-charger cage tank to the oil separator. At the cage tank, rear side.
(10) Connect the oil hose from the turbo-charger cage tank to the oil return pump. At the cage tank, front side.
