% B. Install the Engine Control System Harness %

WARNING: MAKE THE ENGINE IS SAFE BEFORE YOU DO ANY WORK ON HARNESS. IF THE ENGINE STARTS THE PROPELLER CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH. 
(1)  Make sure that the engine is safe: S Set the ELECTRIC MASTER key switch to OFF. S Set the ENGINE MASTER switch to OFF. S Set the power lever to IDLE. 
(2)  Put the harness in position in the cockpit. 
(3)  Carefully move the engine end of the harness forward through the firewall.  Take care not to damage the connectors. Adjust the harness position so that all connections can be made without stress.

(4)  Connect the engine wire harness and bonding cables to these electrical sensors: S Crankshaft 1. S Crankshaft 2. S Camshaft 1. S Camshaft 2. S Coolant temperature. S Oil temperature. S Oil pressure. S Manifold air temperature. S Fuel rail pressure regulator. S Fuel rail pressure sensor. S Propeller governor. S Gear temperature. S Waste gate valve solenoid. S Fuel injectors. S Glow plugs. S Waste gate control valve.  At the front right crank case. At the front left crank case. On inlet valve cover between cyl. 3 & 4. On inlet valve cover between cyl. 1 & 2. At the thermostat valve. At the bottom of the oil case. At the rear side of the oil filter housing. On the intercooler outlet pipe. At the rear end of the fuel rail. At the front side of the fuel rail. At the right side of the reduction gear. At top left of front bearing reduction gear. At the lower crankshaft cover. At each fuel injector. At the lower crankshaft cover. At the lower crankshaft cover. 
(5)  Connect the harness at these terminal blocks: S Glow. S ECU Bus. S Instruments and Annunciator Panel.  Behind the instrument panel. 
(6)  Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the ECU.  Refer to Figure 3. Under the left pilot's seat. Make sure that the bayonet lockings are engaged.

(7)  Install the cable-ties and clamps that attach the cable harness to the engine and structure.  Refer to the notes that you made during removal for the type and location of each attachment. 
(8)  Install the shields for the feed-through at the firewall.  Seal with PR 812 or equivalent. 
(9)  Install the coolant radiator.  Refer to Section 75-01. 
(10)  Install the power lever.  Refer to Paragraph 2.C. 
(11)  Install the instrument panel cover.  Refer to Section 25-10. 
(12)  Install the left pilot’s seat.  Refer to Section 25-10. 
(13)  Connect the airplane main battery.  Refer to Section 24-34 
(14)  Install the engine cowlings.  Refer to Section 71-11. 
(15)  Do an engine run-up.  Refer to Section 71-01.
