TEXT
[1] The service interphone is used for communication between the
attendant stations, the flight compartment, and the airplane servicing
stations. The system is an intercom network shared by the flight crew, the
attendants, and the ground crew. A crew member who operates a handset
or selects the service interphone function of an audio control panel is
interfaced with the system. Operation of the system from the servicing
station jacks requires the service interphone switch to be "ON" . This
switch is located on the P5 aft overhead panel. There are 3 handsets in
figure 42-1. The forward attendant handset is installed at the forward
attendant panel near the forward entry doorway. The aft attendant
handset is installed at the aft attendant panel near the aft entry doorway.
A provision handset is located at the aft end of the control stand.

These handsets are used to talk to and listen to other station in the
interphone system. The handsets resemble the common hand-held
telephone receiver with a microphone on one end and a speaker on the
other. A pushbutton switch is located on the grip, press this pushbutton
