(a) Turn the manual drive shaft on the air intake flap-actuator 4015KM until the air intake flap is in the fully open position.
 NOTE : Make sure that the torque necessary to turn the manual
____ drive shaft is not more than 0.3 mdaN (26.55 lbf.in) for the actuator 43-1-1100 Amendment 1, for the actuator 106-1-1100-02 not more than 0.4 mdaN (35.4 lbf.in). Be careful when you come to the mechanical stop at the end of travel. If you turn the manual drive shaft with more torque than the limit, damage to the air intake flap actuator will occur.
 NOTE : On the actuator 43-1-1100-Amendment 1, 47 turns are
____ required for one full travel of the air intake flap actuator. On the actuator 106-1-1100 -02, 87 turns are required.

 (b) Make sure that the air intake flap is in the correct position. NOTE : The contour of the air intake flap must align with the
____ contour of the air-channel upper wall. The TOLERANCE A in the flap close direction is max. 1 mm (0.0393 in.) at the aft edge of the air intake flap. No tolerance is permitted in the flap open direction.
 (4) Make a dummy connector with a jumper lead to close the ''FLAP OPEN'' control circuit between the ECB 59KD and the air intake-flap actuator 4015KM.
 NOTE : Refer to (Ref. ASM 20-41-11) and (Ref. IPC 24-92-04-67) for
____ information about electrical connector identifications.
 (a)
 Connect a jumper lead, made from wire CF24 gauge between the pins C and D of a connector E0052R14B12PNF.

 (b)
 Hold the jumper lead in position on the connector with a backshell E0080-01-14C.

 (c)
 Paint the dummy connector red with STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-018) to make sure that it is easily identified.

 (5)
 Connect the dummy connector to the connector 7527VC.

 (6)
 Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell the flight crew that the air intake flap is deactivated in the open position.

 (7)
 Make an entry in the logbook to show that the air intake flap is deactivated in the open position and add the time which the MMEL 49-10-02 permits for the operation in this condition.

 (1)
 Put the catwalk panel in position on the service frame and secure with the fasteners.

 (2)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 Close the maintenance door 314AR.

 B.
 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.
