3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the ACARS (Ref. AMM TASK 23-24-00-710-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the VHF3 cannot operate in DATA mode during the operational test of the ACARS:
- replace the MU-ACARS (1RB) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-24-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-24-34-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-VHF, 3 (1RC3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from the ACARS MU (1RB) to the VHF3 transceiver (1RC3) for the VOICE/DATA SELECT discrete from pins AA/7E, 7F to pin AB/7C (Ref. ASM 23-24/01).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

A. If the communication through the ACARS with the ground station is inoperative during the operational test:
- replace the MU-ACARS (1RB) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-24-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-24-34-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-VHF, 3 (1RC3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-12-33-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from the ACARS MU (1RB) to the VHF3 transceiver (1RC3) for the DATA KEYLINE discrete from pins AA/5H, 7K to pins AB/7D, 8D (Ref. ASM 23-24/01).
