___________________________________________ Install the Power Plant
 (b)  If the Thrust Links Were Kept with the Engine (alternate method, install the thrust link assembly on the strut as follows: 1) Apply the antiseize compound to the wedge surfaces of the
 thrust fitting.
 2)  Apply the antiseize compound to the threads of the five bolts (5) that attach the thrust link assembly to the strut.
 3)  Put the thrust fitting onto the lower surface of the strut and install the bolt (5) and washer (6) in the center. 4) Tighten the bolt until the wedges of the thrust fitting and the strut engage. 5) Install the four outer bolts (5) and washers (6) until the washers touch the thrust fitting. 6) Do a check of the barrel nuts for self-locking torque. a) Apply a minimum torque of 18 pound-inches (2 Newton meters) on the nut.
 NOTE: Apply only the minimum torque to prevent worn
____ threads. It is not necessary to calculate the breakaway torque.
 b) If you cannot get the minimum torque, replace the barrel nuts and examine the bolts for worn threads. 7) Tighten the five bolts (5) to 585-715 pound-inches (66-81 Newton meters).
 NOTE: Keep a constant clearance between the thrust

 fitting and the strut.

 (20) Install the forward and aft nut retainers for the cone bolt nuts as follows:
 (a)  Aft nut retainer for the aft cone bolt (Fig. 419).
 1)  Install the nut retainer (3) on the aft cone bolt nut (2) and attach it with the bolt (5) and washer (4).
 NOTE: Refer to Fig. 419 for the correct retainers

 2)  Tighten the bolt (5).
 (b) Forward nut retainer for the forward cone bolt (Fig. 418).
 1)  ENGINES WITHOUT THE VIBRATION ISOLATORS FOR THE FORWARD MOUNT/THRUST REVERSER HINGES; Install the nut retainers (3 and 6) on the forward cone bolt nuts (4) and attach them with the bolts (1) and washers (2).
 2)  ENGINES WITH THE VIBRATION ISOLATORS FOR THE FORWARD MOUNT/THRUST REVERSER HINGES; Do these steps: a) Install the nut retainers (10) on the forward cone bolt
 nuts (13) and attach them with the bolts (12), washers (9), and nuts (8).

 Remove the preload from the lever hoists.

 Disconnect the cradle from the power plant.

 NOTE: It may be necessary to decrease the load slightly to

 remove the links.

 (a)  
Disconnect the two forward fan frame attach rods from the engine fan case (Fig. 415). 1) If it is necessary, remove the fan frame attach rods from

 the cradle. 2) Put the fan frame attach links in the retracted position.

 (b)  
Disconnect the turbine frame attach link from the turbine rear frame (Fig. 416).

 (23) Lower the cradle to the transportation base and attach it with the attached hardware.
