(f)  Remove the crimping pliers as follows:
 1) Release the trigger to open the pliers jaws.
 2) Lift the pliers handle to disengage the tool head rear jaw
 from the clip, then push forward to disengage the front
 jaw.
 3) Lift the pliers head and pull back to remove the tool.
 (g)  Remove the foam rubber.
 (h)  Make sure the clip is installed correctly with the rear end of
 the balance clip fully bent on the blade platform.
 (i)  If the balance clip is installed correctly, move the clip
 holding wire up and down to break it off at the weld point.
 1) Make sure that the removal of the holding wire is
 satisfactory (Fig. 523).
 (j)  If the installation of the balance clip or the removal of the
 holding wire is not satisfactory, replace the balance clip as
 follows.
 1) Move the blade tips, that have balance clips installed, to
 the 6 o'clock position.
 CAUTION: USE MUCH CAUTION WHEN YOU REMOVE THE BALANCE CLIPS._______
 IF YOU DO NOT USE CAUTION DURING THE REMOVAL, YOU CAN
 CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BLADE TIP.
 2) Engage the tool head over the blade tip shroud on the right
 side of the clip (Fig. 521).
 3) Move the tool head left and engage the clip retaining pin
 of the tool between the clip and the rear of the blade tip
 shroud.
 4) Engage the rear end of the clip in the window of the tool
 head lower jaw.
 5) Press the trigger of the tool handle to unlock the
 antirotation plate.
 6) Push the tool rod forward and slightly upward to tilt the
 tool end-fitting and uncrimp the clip.
 CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE THE TOOL AND THE CLIP, MAKE SURE THAT_______
 YOU TURN THE TOOL CLOCKWISE TO KEEP THE CLIP OUT OF
 THE TURBINE. THE CLIP CAN FALL INTO THE TURBINE IF
 YOU TURN THE TOOL COUNTERCLOCKWISE. DAMAGE TO
 EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 7) Turn the tool clockwise a quarter of a turn and pull it
 back together with the clip.
 8) Remove the balance clip.
 (k)  Do an engine run with the one-shot plot procedure.
 1) Write the values of vibration amplitudes (U6) and phase
 angles (A6) for the No. 1 bearing (or FFCCV) and the TRF
 (Fig. 517).

(l) See if the vibration levels of the No. 1 bearing (or FFCCV) are not more than 3.5 mils DA and the levels of the TRF are not more than 4.0 mils DA. 1) If the vibration levels are not more than the limits, the trim balance procedure is completed. a) Do this subsequent task: Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition. 2) If the vibration levels are more than the limits, do the steps that follow. a) Do the LPT vector analysis (as you did to prepare for
 the balance screws) to calculate the imbalance weight W7 at angle A7.
 NOTE: Use U5 at A5 and U6 at A6 for values in the
____
 formulas.

 b)  Find the blade location and balance clip positions as
 you did, before this step. c) With the one-shot plot procedure do an engine run. d) Write the U7 and A7 values on a new Fig. 511.
 NOTE: Do this at the engine speeds that are specified
____
 in Fig. 511.

 3)  If the vibrations continue to be more than the limits, do the fan trim balance procedure as follows. a) With the one-shot procedure and the data that follows,
 calculate the fan imbalance weight, W8, at angle A8.

Use the sensitivity and phase lag values that you

_ found during the intervectorial analysis (Fig. 514).

 2.  
Also use the values of U7 and A7 that are related

_ to the same speeds and sensors that were used for the intervectorial analysis.
 b) With the LPT balance clips installed, do an engine run with the one-shot plot procedure. c) Write the values of vibration amplitudes (U8) and phase angles (A8) on Fig. 517.
 4)  If the vibration levels continue to be more than the limits, use the data that follows to do a vector analysis for the fan only.
