Apply a light layer of graphite grease (CP2101) on the borescope plug threads and the mating surfaces.

 (b)  
Install in the borescope ports.

 (c)  
Tighten the plugs to 57-63 pound-inches (6.4-7.1 Newton meters).

 (d)  
Put a lockwire on the plug.

 (8)  
Install the turbine exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401).

 (9)  
Do the procedure to put the airplane back to its usual condition.

Remove the turbine exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401).

Examine 4th Stage Blades for Axial Preload (Fig. 608).

 (a)  In a quadrant, separate two tip shrouds by hand, but do not unlatch the tip shroud interlocks.
 NOTE: You must separate two tip shrouds in each quadrant
____ to check for axial preload. With your hands, push one blade as you pull the other to separate the tip shroud interlocks.
 (b)  Release the blades and do a check of the clearance between the tip shroud interlocks. 1) The clearance must be zero between the tip shroud
 interlocks.
 2)  If the clearance is not zero, you must perform the following inspection every 25 cycles or 50 hours: Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) Rotor Blade (4th Stage) Tip Shroud Interlock (AMM 72-00-00/601).
 (c)  Do the axial preload check again for two tip shrouds in each of the other three quadrants.
