(1) Make sure the engine fire switch for the applicable engine has not been pulled.

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

At the 9 o'clock position on the AGB, remove the cover as follows
(Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove the lockwire and remove the 5 bolts that attach the cover to the drive pad.
(b)
Move the cover until it is away from the drive pad.
NOTE: Do not remove the lanyard that attaches the cover to
____
the AGB.
(c) Discard the two O-rings.
NOTE: On engines PRE-CFMI-SB 72-155, there is only one
____
O-ring.
G. Turn the N2 Rotor Manually

(1) Do these steps to turn the N2 rotor manually:
(a)
Attach a 3/4-inch square drive tool with a two-foot extension to the drive pad.
(b)
Turn the handle of the tool in the counterclockwise direction as seen from the rear.
NOTE: During engine operation, the engine turns in the
____ clockwise direction as seen from the rear. Because of the AGB gearing, when you turn the tool in the counterclockwise direction as seen from the rear, the engine will turn in the correct clockwise direction.
It is recommended that the N2 rotor be turned in its usual clockwise direction.
