Tighten the vent tube clamps to the support brackets with the bolts, the washers, and the nuts.

____ support. Make sure the vent tube does not touch the structure. Do not layer a material on the vent tubes, it is not necessary.

 Connect the bonding jumpers on the vent tube to the airplane structure (AMM 20-11-15/401).

 Measure the bonding resistance between the vent tube and the structure (AMM 20-22-01/601).

 NOTE: The bonding resistance will not be more than 0.010 ohm.

 F. Do the Install the Fuel Vent Tube in the Surge Tank Procedure

 (1)  
Go into the surge tank and install the washers and the nuts (12 locations) on the bolts that go through the outboard rib of the surge tank.

Tighten the nuts.

Install the seal caps on the nuts (AMM 28-11-00/801).

Apply the sealant around the perimeter of the vent tube at the outboard rib of the surge tank (AMM 28-11-00/801).

Tighten the vent tube clamps to the support brackets with the bolts, the washers, and the nuts.

 WARNING:_______OBEY ALL THE FUEL TANK PURGING AND ENTRY PRECAUTIONS. YOU CAN CAUSE AN INJURY TO A PERSON AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.
 (1)  
Remove all the fuel in the surge tank and prepare the surge tank for an entry (AMM 28-11-00/201).
