Open the necessary access panel for the inboard aileron actuator, 573AB or 673AB.

Use the manual override lever to put the valve actuator in the closed position.

Go into the inboard main tank.

Engage the valve body with the adapter shaft that has splines.

Make sure the shaft and the valve index marks align.

Install the gasket seal on the valve body flange and hold the valve body into its position on the tank end rib.

Go into the outboard main tank and install the gasket seal and the inlet tube on the tank end rib.

Install the bolts and the washers (6 locations) that attach the tube to the tank end rib.

Tighten the bolts.

Connect the bonding jumper for the inlet tube to the structure (AMM 20-11-15/401).

Go into the inboard main tank and install the valve support ring and the support clamp.

Tighten the clamp bolts.

Install the new O-ring in the coupling for the outlet tube.

MAIN TANK TRANSFER VALVE ADAPTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains instructions for the removal and installation of the adapter for the transfer valve assembly in the main tank.
B. Two persons are necessary for these tasks: one person out of the fuel tank to pull or push the adapter shaft through the spar opening and to hold the adapter plate; and one person in the fuel tank to remove or install the hardware that is installed.
